Description:
Waves — all those big, powerful curves — out of nothing but rectangles and squares. And why not? The mottled blue glass already had the layered colors, liquid swirls, depth and shine of water. Those patterns flow across the rectangular boundaries, the way water naturally would.
Purchased for the Hudson Hospital’s (Hudson, Wisconsin) permanent collection; installed in the main lobby.
